Pitching Clinic hosted by Gillian Woodward

 

My Name is Gillian Woodward and I am reaching out to you again this year to advertise 3 pitching clinic dates I will be holding on December 16th, 19th, and 21st in Ile Des Chenes at the Ecole Ile Des Chenes School gym. 

 

I realize this is late notice as those dates are only 2 1/2 weeks away and I would like to apologize for that, I had trouble securing gym time. Nevertheless, I am hoping to attract an excited group of pitchers eager to get some pitching time and refine their skills. 

 

In case this information is reaching new eyes, here is some information about me. I grew up in Ile Des Chenes and started playing softball with the Seine River Minor Ball Program at the Learn to Play level. Once I reached U12 I moved to play for the Winnipeg Lighting organization where I stayed for 9 years. I played for Team Manitoba in the 2017 Canada Summer Games that took place in Winnipeg. I continued my playing career at the college level as a pitcher for the University of South Dakota, where I graduated this past May. I am currently working on my Master's degree at Minot State University. In 2021-22 I served as the Graduate Assistant pitching coach and I now currently serve as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. 

 

The session details are as follows: 

 

I will be holding 3 one hour sessions each night from 6-9 pm. The  6 pm session will be for anyone looking to learn or improve their pitching mechanics. The 7 pm session will be for intermediate pitchers and focus on mechanics and throwing movement pitches, and the 8 pm session will be for advanced pitchers looking to refine mechanics, learn new movements pitches, and explore what I call "pitching theory".  Maximum enrollment for each session will be 8 pitchers due to limited space and I want to make sure that each pitcher gets individual attention. I ask that all pitchers please bring a catcher (teammate or parent) for their session. I will provide all other equipment. 

 

Rates:

1 date: $30

2 dates: $60

3 dates: $80

 

To enroll in the clinic please email me at gill.em.w@gmail.com with the date(s) and the time your pitcher wishes to attend. Sign-up will be on a first come first serve basis. Once I receive your email I will confirm your sign-up and provide payment information. I will be accepting payment in cash, by check, or by email money transfer.
