For a diamond to be deemed "playable" for practices and games it must meet the following criteria:
1. Soil surface is not too loose and provides good running traction
2. Running paths and sliding zones near bases are level not worn
3. Batter's box and home plate areas are in good condition
4.Pitchers mound is in good condition (push off and landing areas are not dished out and in need of repair)
5. Infield is level and does not have low spots or holes
6. Infield is dry
7. There is no hazardous soil build up (lip) between infield and outfield
8. Outfield grass is mowed on a regular basis
9. There are no holes or mounds made by moles, gophers or other animals in outfield area
